Cecilia Preciado is a highly skilled Trial Attorney with over 32 years of litigation experience. Unique to Civil Litigators, Ms. Preciado has tried over 30 cases, including jury and bench trials, binding and non-binding arbitrations.
Ms. Preciado’s litigation experience includes matters in a broad range of disciplines from professional liability, real estate, corporate and contract disputes, insurance bad faith claims, tort, legal malpractice, trust, personal injury, products liability, premises liability, probate and family law matters. She was certified as a specialist in Legal Malpractice from 2011 through 2021 and is currently certified as a specialist in Family law matters. She has obtained favorable outcomes for clients at all phases of the case including trial, pre-trial settlement and appeal.
Ms. Preciado’s practice includes advising clients with early and cost-effective pre-litigation resolution, complex issues, case merits, exposure, alternative dispute resolution and litigation strategy.
Ms. Preciado graduated from University of San Diego School of Law, Cum Laude in 1992. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of San Diego, Magna Cum Laude in 1988.
Born in the border town of Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, Ms. Preciado in fluent in both English and Spanish. Her civic and community service includes membership in the Hispanic Bar Association of Orange County, Hispanic National Bar Association, San Diego La Raza Lawyers’ Association, California Lawyers’ Association, Association of Certified Family Law Specialists, San Diego County Bar Association and Orange County Bar Association. Ms. Preciado is General Counsel to a Private Charitable Foundation that is actively involved with education and humanitarian causes. It is currently providing humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.
She is a member of the State Bar of California.
